IDENTITY REGISTRY
Every animal must exist in the system before it can move. The Identity Registry is the foundation of Livestock OS — the persistent record of who an animal is, where it started, and what makes it uniquely identifiable.
Before anything moves, it must exist.
The Identity Registry creates and maintains the core animal record. Each registered animal receives a unique Livestock OS identifier, linked to its physical ear tag number, species, breed, sex, date of birth, and origin farm. This record is the anchor for every downstream compliance event — health certificate, movement permit, batch inclusion, ownership transfer.
Registration creates the chain.
An operator registers the animal directly in Livestock OS. Physical ear tag number, species, breed, sex and DOB are confirmed. The system generates the unique identifier and sets the animal's state to REGISTERED. From this point, every compliance event is recorded against this identity.
Every animal. Registered. Confirmed.
The identity registry is live in Livestock OS V001. Pilot access is open for farms, feedlots and abattoirs ready to run real animals through the system.
