Value Chain
Accredited
Laboratories.
Disease test results are compliance data. Brucellosis, tuberculosis, and FMD screening outcomes determine whether an animal is cleared to move. Livestock OS is designed to receive verified laboratory results and apply them as compliance records — but only through formally onboarded, accredited laboratory partners.
Role in the Chain
Where laboratory results enter the chain.
When a state or private veterinarian requires disease testing as a condition of movement, the laboratory result is the compliance gate. An animal that has not passed the required screening cannot be cleared for movement. In Livestock OS, compliance documents — including test results — are recorded against the batch before the veterinary health workflow can proceed.
Disease Screening
Brucellosis, bovine tuberculosis, anthrax zone clearance, and FMD-related testing feed directly into movement compliance. Results recorded in the system block or clear the batch accordingly.
Test Reference Recording
Laboratory reference numbers, testing dates, and issuing laboratory details are recorded as compliance documents. This forms part of the permanent audit record for each batch.
Integration Pathway
Direct result submission from laboratory information systems requires a formal integration agreement. Currently, results are entered manually by the attending veterinarian or authorised operator.

V001 Live
Manual Result Entry
Veterinarians and operators can record laboratory reference numbers and test outcomes as compliance documents within the batch workflow.

Direct Lab Integration
Electronic submission of results from accredited laboratory systems requires a formal data-sharing and accreditation agreement.

Result Validation
Automated validation of test results against species-specific, province-specific and movement-specific requirements. Dependent on regulatory confirmation of applicable rules.

Accredited laboratories that issue disease test results relevant to livestock movement are an important part of the compliance chain. We are building integration pathways — formal agreement first.
